well i had quite an adventure today! i spent the night at my dad's last night and got up early this morning to go Tree Climbing in Atlanta. i know i know "WTF?!?!", right? no too long ago, a friend of my dads made a documentary on these tree climbers and i assume thats house this trip was formed. we met up w/a few ppl this morning and headed over to the peach...we arrived at about 12 their time, tree climbing doesn't open until 2 so we put in reservations at The Flying Biscuit-quite an interesting restaurant...it was like an hour wait to get in, but the food was good! the part of town we were in reminded me of southside alot. while waiting to get in to lunch, i went in this AWESOME VINTAGE SHOP and a REALLY KOOL RECORD STORE, it was great fun! the tree climbing place was like 2 blocks away from the flying biscuit and right in the middle of this ghetto type naighborhood. of my siblings, i was the only one that climbed. we had a very diverse group of about 12...amongst us was a doctor from germany, a doctor from the netherlands, the documentary guy, a psychology teacher, a plumber(yea, my dad...he's not a petite flower either...) and a few other characters. i was the youngest. i cant even begin to describe how you actually climb up there...cause you really climb a rope hanging from a random branch in a massive tree using mostly your legs and a system of knots. there were like 8 ropes available for climbing, all at different heights. mine was about 200ft high. i made it to the top of mine and looked over to see one of the funniest sights so far this year...all 200(+)lbs of matthew p.(p is for "plumber"...actually his middle initial is "p" and sadly it does not stand for plumber" newport suspended from a tree branch, dangling 200 ft off the ground. hehehe. yes it was quite in adventure indeed. i'm already starting to feel sore. i think we're going to do it again too...dont know when though. i'll post some pics when i get some and theres a website for it too...but i'm tired so, off to bed i go...
