but it's calm, under the waves, in the blue of my oblivion
sorry about the lack of posts lately, but last week was hell and i just dont like talking about the depressing issues in my life over the internet, to be read by the world. so i'll stick to the good things. as you probably know, i was out of school friday and today which was awesome and much needed. friday- i layed on the couch ALL DAY in a somewhat comotose state, due to sinus related illness. but thanks to lots of sleep and clariton d, by saturday i was up for a little shopping. i ended up getting myself a pair of jeans and my friend that lives in north carolina an awesome element shirt for his birthday(which was the 13th...oops, though i'm hoping to deliver it to him in person this weekend, no promises though...). yesterday i went to church and signed up to take the ACT on April 9th at Victory Christian School(if anyone would like to join me). Today, me and a few friends went up to Jacksonville to go PROM DRESS SHOPPING, w00t! 2 out of 3 of us bought dresses(including myself), so i'd say we did pretty good. i didn't know dress shopping was so incredibly lame...i mean really...when you have no cleavage, little bit of hips, and really long legs...o please, theres no hope.so after trying on quite a few, i finally found this dress that looked pretty good and would fit decently if we crossed the straps, took a little up on the straps, took a little up on the sides, and TAPED it to me(yes the woman went and got her double sided tape and taped the dress to me to show that would fit better), not to mention the beads were falling off-which was why it was on sale. i am quite the bargain shopper, so i decided to get it seeing as it looked allright(better than any other i'd tried on the past 2 hours) and was a very good price. as my friends mom was holding it for me while i put my shoes on so i could go pay, they were bringing in a new shipment of dresses. when the girl brought in the 2nd dress i commented on how pretty it was(it fit my criteria perfectly-pink, strapless, flare out but not exactly "poofy", maybe a little bit of beads...), at which she looked at it and said "well its a 2. here, try it on"...i already have a dress, so what have i got to lose ya know?... i tried it on and it fit PERFECTLY(no hems, no beads to sew back on, no tape....). after seeing it, everyone else agreed i should get it. haha, it hadn't even been on the rack long enough for them to price it before i decided i wanted to buy it. i would post a pic but the only one i can find is of a tan girl, w/dark hair, wearing the blue version of mine( i couldn't look more opposite...pale, blonde hair, pink dress). the pic doesn't do my dress justice either. as me and my friend waited for the ppl at wally world to put a new tire on her car this afternoon, i found these awesome sparkly sandle-type shoes that LIGHT UP(like little kid tennis shoes) that i'm seriously thinking about getting. my dress is so long you cant see my shoes anyways. if those dont work out, i think i'll get some ballet shoes cause i like the way they look and i definitely dont need and height compared to josh. i think i'm done for now.i'm actually proud of myself for accomplishing so much, i havent felt this good in a while. hope everyone elses weekend was as enjoyable and productive as mine!
